Chapter 3: A new quest.

"You do know. . . .i'm just going on dates with Darkheart just to prove his loyalty. . . to tell the truth. . ." she pawed the ground.

"Of course I do." Rainwing replied. his fur ruffled as six cats ran past him. "What was that all about?" Rainwing asked.

"To tell the truth . . i havn't seen Fuzzyfur at all lately. . " Redsky said to him. "Lets follow. . . Hey Rainwing. . . wanna hear a secret? I kinda miss ShadowClan. . but enough! lets go!"

Before they could go anywhere though, Roseleaf ran up to them.
"FUZZYFUR HE'S GONE!" Roseleaf meowed. "We have to find him!" She added. "Dont worry Will help!" Redsky and Rainwing meowed at the same time. "And, i'm going to have kits." Roseleaf finished.

"Really?" Redsky said.

"Yes." Roseleaf replied. "...your having a kit? Gulp" rainwing said in a awkward voice. "Something wrong?" Roseleaf asked.

"Something wrong ,Rainwing?" Redsky asked.

"N-No! of course not, I'm just worried about my good ol'e buddy FuzzyFur!" Rainwing meowed still seeming a bit drowsy. "Rainwing Why dont you bring Roseleaf back to camp I'll go look for FuzzyFur" Redsky said moving for the border.

"Go on!" Redsky said. She yelled and ran ahead.

"okay, okay. come on roseleaf you shoulden't be out here." Rainwing said moving back to camp. "I know, I'm just worried sick about fuzzyFur." RoseLeaf replied. "Who's the father anyways?" Rainwing asked. "FuzzyFur." Roseleaf replied.

Redsky thought to herself. "We've all grown too much. . .Fuzzyfur has allready become a father. . . " Redsky said to herself.

"FUZZYFUR IS THE FATHER?!" Rainwing jumped. "Is it that big a surprise?" Roseleaf asked. "Oh of course not!" Rainwing replied. "YES IT IS FOR ME ANYWAYS!" Rainwing thought. Then they were at the entrance of the camp.

Redsky shook her head. She saw a pelt in the distance, and thought to herself. "Is that you Fuzzyfur?!"

" You just go rest in the medicine den Roseleaf." Rainwing told her. "I will." Roseleaf replied. "Heh.... I remember when I was a kit.. Will I be ready to ever be a father...This makes you think..." Rainwing sat down confused.

Redsky ran up to the cat. "FUZZYFUR!!"

"Who's fuzzyfur?" the cat asked turning around, It turns out it wasent FuzzyFur it was a old she cat. "Oh......" Redsky sighed.

"Besides," said an unfamiliar voice, "Fuzzyfur isn't the father."

Spottedtalon stepped into the threshold.

"I AM!!!"

"Heh.....I'm bored I wonder when RedSky gets back...." Rainwing thought to his self. Darkheart ran past him out of camp. "Huh?" Rainwing wondered.

As Rainwing followed, he saw Darkheart talking with Spottedtalon.
he hid in the underbrush to avoid being seen.

Darkheart said "Well, how's the plan going?"

Spottedtalon replied, "It's almost time. He'll be out of the picture soon enough."

"Good. How soon?"

"Quite soon," Spottedtalon answered. "We just have to get him away from the girl."


Rainwing gasped at this, and the two stopped talking and looked his way.....

"SNAP!" Rainwing Yelled, He dident have a choice though, He Ran full speed at both of them.

they both dodged his charge, then Darkheart shouted "YOU FOOL! YOU'VE RUINED EVERYTHING!"

then, after a few moments' silence, Spottedtalon said calmly "Not quite. He may be of use to us."

Darkheart calmed down, and after careful pondering, said "Ah, yes, i see. Perhaps you are right. Boy! What are you called?"

Rainwing answered "R-Rainwing."

Spottedtalon said fiercely, "No! First we must make sure he will not reveal our plan to anyone else...."

"You think i'm a fool? I'd never help either of you! and where's FuzzyFur?" Rainwing Said growling. "pfft, This ends here and now then!" Darkheart yelled.

Darkheart went in for the kill.

Spottedtalon knocked Rainwing to the left, taking the blow and landing to the ground.

Darkheart was shocked at this. "What did you do that for?!"

Spottedtalon replied between gasps, "He....he is more useful than you think, Dar...Darkheart. He can...can lead us to it...."

Darkheart jumped back in astonishment.
"Are you serious? This kid can do that?"
He shot a wary glance at Rainwing.

Spottedtalon stood up, and his wound was healing itself.

Rainwing was amazed. "How did you do that?"

Spottedtalong answered "Oh, that? It's a long story...."

"I'm not helping!" rainwing yelled. "Heh, and just so you know just cuase I may act nice to you two in camp dsent me i trust you, The last thing I want is to get into a fight with you two." Rainwing said tsking his leave.

After he left, Darkheart said "Arrogant little punk, isn't he?"

Spottedtalon, in all his calm, collected wisdom, replied "Perhaps. But he is a child. He will come to realize the severity of his decision soon. When he does, he will seek us for help. When that time comes, tell him. Am I clear, Darkheart?"

Darkheart was slient for a moment, then muttered "Yes, Sir."
