Chapter 3: A new quest.

"Are you in there?" Redsky asked. She playfully pawed his head. "Anyone in there?"

"Huh? Oh hey Redsky." Rainwing meowed. "I'm sorta busy-" e stopped, as a cat walked up to him "Hey Rainwing, I got this for you." The cat meowed laying a flower in front of him.

"Got a friend there?" Redsky meowed happily, trying to get his attention.

"...Ummm Redsky...This is Sandmoon...." Rainwing meowed. "And Rainwing and I are going on a date tonight!" Sandmoon meowed.

Redsky hided a surge of dissapointment. "Oh. . . okay. . ." Redsky walked away with a fake cheerful look. She entered the warriors den. "Darnit!!!! Just when I was going to tell him!!!" she muttered to herself.

just then SandMoon walked in. "Good your here! Let me say this, I dont want you to talk to Rainwing ever again or even get near him okay! If I see you near him I'll take your eye out!" Sand moon meowed before walking out.

Redsky let out a shocked look. "She looks young. She stands no chance against me even though i'm still a fairly young warrior." Redsky muttered to herself. She spent the rest of the night planning out the rest of her life.

The next day-
The next morning Rainwing had been watching the blue sky.

Redsky checked to see is Sandmoon was around and sat by him when it looked like the coast was clear. "Hey there Rainwing!" she said happily, still looking for Sandmoon.

"Hey rainwing I need to tell you something!" A cat yelled. "What?" Rainwing asked walking away, for a minute. then he ran back, to tell redsky. "Guess what! I'm going to be a mentor soon!" Rainwing meowed to redsky happily. "I gotta find Sandmoon and tell her now!" Rainwing meowed. running of to find Sandmoon.

Redsky stared into the distance. "He used to say that about me. . . It's not that he gets to be a mentor before me thats bothering me. . ."

"Hey SandMoon! guess what! I already told Redsky but that isent the point, I'm going to be a mentor!" Rainwing meowed "Redsky? Why did you tell her first! I'm the only one you can talk to now! I want you to never talk to any of them ever again got it?" Sandmoon meowed. "..I got it alright..." Rainwing started.

-A couple hours later-
Redsky just sat in the warriors den quietly. "HEY Redsky, I need to talk to you about Sandmoon."Rainwing started.

"What is it. . ." She turned around angrily.

"Well for starters.....Your my best buddy around here, So I'd never give up you or fuzzyfur to be with Sandmoon and if it seemed like that ever you were wrong. and that is why I'm never going to talk to sandmoon again...Besides...Their is somebody else in mind." Rainwing meowed.

"Really?" Redsky turned around happily.

"Yup." Rainwing meowed.

"And who might that be?" Redsky asked him.

"...You.." Rainwing meowed.

"Good!!" Redsky smiled.

That night-

Rainwing slept next to redsky that night.

That morning. .

Redsky woke Rainwing up. "Hungry?" she asked happily. "Oh, and your ,umm. . . Mentor thing is today! I can't wait until I get an apprentice. . ."

"yea I'm hungry....Me mentor?! RIGHT!!!!" Rainwing jumped up.

FireStar called the cats to the clearing in camp. "As you know, there is a naming ceremony today!

"And so we shall say the ceremony now!" Firestar said.

after the ceremony-

"Rainwing will you come up here?" Firestar asked.

"Go on, Rainwing!" Redsky pushed him. "I'll go on a little patrol when your done. Maybe you can come."
