Chapter 5: A battle against Darkness.

"D-Darkpelt!!" Redsky stuttered in amazment. "You're alive!!"

"Of course I'm alive, Starclan gave me a new life." Darkpelt meowed but was quickly hit in the side by DarkHeart.

"Darkpelt!! How could they do that?" Redsky asked. "You aren't a clan leader. . ."

"You'll find out soon enough." Darkpelt meowed, attacking another cat.

"If I survive this fight. . ." Redsky replied.

A cat was just about to attack redsky when a Exia Attacked it.

"Exia?" Redsky asked surprised. "Why are you saving me?!"

"I have some business withe Lakestar to take care of." Exia meowed coldly.

"So do I. . ." Redsky replied. She joined Exia at his side.

"Hmph, Don't get in my way." Exia meowed.

"I'm sorry, but were going to have to work together. . ."

'Ugh, This cat never gives up does she?' Exia though swiping at every cat that tried to hurt him.

Redsky attacked any cat that she saw try to get near Flameheart. She rushed up to Lakestar, "Now, is the time when I will kill you for REAL!!" She meowed.

Lakestar laughed. "Ha! You really think you could kill me?" Lakestar asked. 'She can't but I can.' Exia thought leaping at lakestar, Both rolled around slashing and biting at each other.

Redsky scowled. "So unfair. . ." She meowed. "I'm going to give Exia a peice of my mind when this is all over. . ." Just as she finished talking to herself Twilightrain bounced into view. "Exia! Move!" She shouted. But then she realized that Exia had his paws full. She ran as fast as she could, just in time to stop a cat in middair from tackling him.

Rainwing walked out of the water, part of his face was scarred. "Maybe the practicing was worth it, I feel stronger...Different..." Rainwing said running up to lakestsar who was still fighting Exia, and clawed him in the back. "EXIA NOW!!!!" Rainwing yelled, and in that moment Rainwing and Exia clamped down with there teeth on LakeStar's Neck and back and pulled.

Everyone quieted especially the Lakeclan cats, as Exia and Rainwing threw the tore up bloody body of Lakestar into the lake.

"Rainwing the hero. . ." Redsky smiled. "Has a nice ring to it."
As soon as all of the cats spoke with each other in amazement that Lakestar might actually be dead, Twilightrain ran up to Exia. "Exia!" She shouted. "Are you okay?"

"Of course I'm alright." Exia meowed coldly, looking at TwilightRain with an Icy gaze.

Twilightrain took a few steps backwards. "Oh, yeah. . . . I should of known. . . . my brothers not that weak. . . ." She said weakly.

Meanwhile. . .

Redsky spotted Darkheart in the distance. She looked at Rainwing for just a moment.

Rainwing noticed Redsky looking at him. "What?" Rainwing asked. Then he saw DarkHeart, Rainwing didn't do anything, he just gave a faint nod and walked back to look at the lake. "Thank you starclan." Rainwing meowed. Rainwing looked over to see Flameheart sitting by himself licking his wounds while keeping a eye on TwilightRain.

"Darkheart. . . I'm sorry. . . But I choose RefugeeClan." Redsky meowed as she walked over to him. " We can still be friends. . . .right?" She meowed hopefully.

"Yea, We can be friends." Darkheart meowed. "Rainwing....I didn't expect him to come back...Maybe he is the chosen cat to lead this clan...." Darkheart breathed. "Until Then I'll be known as DarkStar, the new leader of Lakeclan." DarkHeart(Err...Star) meowed.

"It's good that you understand, Darkheart." Redsky smiled at him. "It's good to talk to you again."

Back with Twilightrain. . . .

"Exia?" Twilightrain meowed weakly. "Do you believe me? That I'm Maple?"

"She's dead, And so is my brother." Exia meowed coldly, then walked away.
Flameheart tried to go over and talk Exia into believing her but his leg hurt to much.

Twilightrain walked sadly to Flameheart. "Thanks for trying. . ." She meowed as she sat down.
