Chapter 1 - A Start...

"So. .. where are we going? Or are you just dragging me around to teach me a lesson?"

"To awnser you first question, Were going to Magmore cave. to awnser your second question, Yes I am dragging you around to teach you a lesson." Manx said.

"Figures. . ." Soru rermarked rudely. "So. . .what are we doing in Magmore cave?" He asked suddenly.

"Theirs a rumor about a gem in magmore cave and that it holds-" Manx stopped getting rammed in the side. "GRAGH!" Manx said his arm making loud cracking sounds.

Soru forced his way out of Manx's hand. "What is wrong?" He asked surprisinglly concerned.

"Arrows! lots of em!" Manx yelled still holding his arm in pain. "An ambush somebody was following us!" Manx added.

"Should I?" Soru asked, still concerned about Manx's arm. He pulled his black sword to hint that he wanted to fight.

"DONT! TRUST ME YOU'LL REGRET IT!" Manx yelled.

"Are you sure? Pain means nothing to me. . ." Soru said inching forward.

"MY FAMILY WAS KILLED JUST LIKE THIS! THEY DIDENT CARE THEY WANTED TO FIGHT! NEXT THING I KNOW THEIR DEAD! I WAS ALONE! GRAGH....LETS JUST GET OUT OF HERE.....Un..." manx yelled falling to the ground.

"Fine. . ." Soru said distantly. A flurry of arrows flung at Manx but before the could get to him, Soru slung them away with his sword. Soru grabbed hold of Manx and dragged him through the to Magmore cave. As they entered Soru laughed. "Now i'm the one who is doing the dragging!" His smile dissapeared. "I now know we have had similar fates."

"..How?" Manx asked.

Soru looked at the roof of the cave. "What you told me earlier, Manx. Your family dying. Lucky for you. . .you found a way to survive. . ."

"....What?....What do you mean?" Manx asked.

Soru turned away. "Don't you get it?" He said soflty. "My family died also. . . my sister, my mother, and my father. . .My sister dissapeared one day. . . My family got upset and ranted to the city. One day everyone got fed up." He finished darkly. "Right in front of my eyes. . ." He went on. "Ever since the townfolk have hated me. Having to survive on my own. I've been looking for my sister but I gave up. There is no way she could survive. She is 2 years younger than me. . ."

"....The gem.....it shall light the way....If we find the gem we might be able to find your sister...." Manx said, blood dripping from his arm.

"She is dead. . ." Soru said sadly.

"How do youn know that? She might be alive out their!" Manx yelled.

"You have a point." Soru said sadly. He plucked the arrows from Manx's arm. "We should wait for you to get better first though. . ." Soru said sadly.

Manx took his cloak off to reveal on the scars on his chest. "Dude...I'm half dead." Manx Said, his arm was covered in blood and his chest was covered in scars.

Soru stared in disbeleif. "I'm sorry. . .for being so unkind. . ." he said.

"....let me say this. you help me, i'll help you." Manx said. "And you dont have to act distantly otherwise nobody will care for you." Manx added.

"Don't have too?" Soru asked. "That is my personality. .. I was born that way. . "

"...I see..But is that how you are going to act for your whole life?" Manx asked.

"Maybe. . .maybe not. . " Soru let out a laugh. "At least I don't go psyco normally!"
