Chapter 5: A battle against Darkness.

"See yea." Flameheart meowed calmly.

Twilightrain turned around and walked back up to Flameheart. "Do you think you're okay after that battle?"

"Yea just fine. Mind if I go with you to the Shadowclan border, I need to patrol anyways." flameheart meowed.

"Umm. . . Sure, I guess. Why? Is there something you need to talk about?" Twilightrain asked him, surprised that he'd asked her if he could go with her.

"Wah? Errr N-n-nah, I just need to patrol I also want to see if I can Find Exia." Flameheart meowed quickly.

"Exia?" Twilightrain asked him. "I've given up on him. If he wants to hate me let him. It's his loss." They walked a bit out of camp in silence when Twilightrain broke it. "What's with the stuttering?" she smiled.

“Wh-what do you mean???” Flameheart asked

"Your stuttering!" she laughed. "Your hiding something. What is it? Tell me or I'll force it out of you!" she unsheathed her claws on a paw and playfully raised it up.

"Emm Well....You see-WAH!!!!!!" Flameheart was blown into a tree by a strong force. Exia walked out of the bushes. "I will revenge the death of my family!!! Starting by killing you!!!" Exia Hissed.

"EXIA!!" Twilightrain cried. "HE didn't do anything to me or brother!!"

"You all must pay...Especially you Shadowclan cats!" Exia hissed at Twilightrain.

"Exia! How can I prove that I'm Maple?! I'll take any test!!"

"Why do you keep trying to fake you are Maple?!" Exia hissed.

"I'm not faking it!!" Twilightrain screamed. "Flameheart, you need to go off on your patrol. . ."

Exia Clawed Twilightrain's face just as Flameheart was getting up. Something jumped out of the bushes and Grabbed Exia's tail. A badger.

"Exia!" Twilightrain shouted. "I'm going to help you know matter WHO you think I am!" she jumped at the badger and clawed at his face.

Flameheart ran and jumped on it's back and clawed through it's fur to it's skin.

"Flameheart! Go!" she snarled. "I can take care of it!"

"No!" Flameheart snarled back. The badger let go of Exia and ran back into the forest. "Heh.....That was nuts...." Flameheart meowed giving almost a faint laugh.

"Broth- I mean Exia, are you okay?" Twilightrain mewed.

"...Just...Fine...." Exia got up and looked at them, gave a low growl and ran into the forest.

Twilightrain smiled. "So Flameheart, what were you saying?"

"Geh? Like I'm actually gonna tell you!" Flameheart meowed getting up.

Twilightrain looked at him sadly. "What'd I do?"

"Nothing, but I'm not telling you anything about my personal life" Flameheart meowed in a jokesh way.
