"I could, but what a snake. . . ." her eyes narrowed. "That better not count against my grade. . ."

"It will" Dawn's voice faded as he disappeared.

"Damn. . ." She started to walk further into the forest.

Dawn sat in a tree watching Kyoko. "She's dong good...except for being attacked by that snake.." Dawn said bored.

Suddenly, Kyoko had an idea. "That's it!!" she smiled. "Dawn said I had to go into the woods without tools. That doesn't mean I can't make them!!" Without another word Kyoko stumbled in the darkness, finding a stick and a sharp rock. She found a nice clear place on the ground and started sharpening the stick.

Dawn watched her. "Finally. Now can she find a good use for it?" Dawn said calmly.

"Hmm. . ." She frowned as she inspected her spear. "I'm hungry. . ." she grabbed her stomach. "Oh, another idea!!" she soon had another spear-like stick and two more rocks. She fumbled in the dark as sparks flew occasionally. Finally as she had been trying to do, the stick burst up in flame. The flame creeplily burned through the darkness and didn't burn much of the stick. Kyoko looked at it proudly. "I thought I had forgotten how to use magic."


(To clear this up, Kyoko, yes, can use magic. But somehow, earlier in her life she forgot most of her spells. That explains how she can't fight. Back when she wandered the streets instead of fighting to protect herself, she used magic.)

"Magic eh? Nice." Dawn breathed.

Kyoko stood up carefully, not wanting to drop the stick. "I'm a bit rusted but. . ."

Kyoko was walking for hours on end. she had no idea what the time was or anything.

She sat down. "MEh. . . I'm so tired. . ." she frowned.

"B." Dawn said walking up to her.

"That's a good grade." Kyoko sighed. "Camp is that way." she pointed in the direction she had walked up to the area.

"...Umm, actually it's the other way. but if you want you can take the longer route." Dawn said calmly.

"Meh. . ." She sighed drowsily. "So you saw my magic, huh?"

"Yea." Dawn said walking through his shortcut path.

"That's one of the few spells I remember. . ."

"Well it was good you remembered it." Dawn said calmly, now back at Kyoko's little area.

Kyoko smiled. "I guess I'll see you tomorrow. .. "

"Next mission is in two days." Dawn said calmly.

"Really?" she asked. "How many more missions do I have?"

"One more." Dawn said bored.

"Great. Night."

It was the next day. Dawn lie on the ground looking at the sky.

Kyoko kept sleeping. "Stupid pig. . ." she murmered.
