Chapter 5: A battle against Darkness.

"Flameheart?" Twilightrain sighed.

flameheart sat down calmly and began to think. "Alright, Come kill us, we surrender."

what no cat notices, is that Ashpelt is watching from a branch above the clearing.

"Flameheart, are you crazy?!" Twilightrain cried.

"We can't just surrender ourselves. The forest needs us!"

Ashpelt started to slowly climb down the tree behind scourge, making sure he was downwind. also hoping one of the other cats would notice him but not give him away. after he got hold of them and started running, noone would be able to catch him... he just had to figure out how to get them both.

Twilihgtrain noticed the cat getting the kits. Luck is on my side today!! she thought. As soon as the kits were out of the way she flew at scourge. "HA!"

hah, finally got these kits out of the way. "stay here!" he firmly told the kits.

Twilihgtrain slashed at Scourge's face, only to get pushed back easily by his paws. She rushed back up and clawed some more.

Ashpelt jumps onto scourge's back to hold him down. "get him now!"

"So you're the cat that helped us." Twilihgtrain smiled as she redied the death blow.

but just as she was about to strike, Scourge exploded his limbs, launching Ashpelt off. then he attacked twilightrain. "I won't be beaten that easily!" he shouted.

Twilightrain flew back. "Darn. . ."

Flameheart jumped on scourge knocking him into a wall. The two battled for a second till scourge bit Flameheart by the neck and threw him.

*decides to try pinning again*
i hate hurting people, i might go into rage...

Twilihgtrain attacked as fatally as she could.

Scourge knocked Twilightrain off and sat up his body covered in darkness now. "Poor kits, you tricked me so now they must die." Flameheart got up quickly and lunged at scourge. Scourge scarred flameheart in the face and bit his neck.

"too bad you dont know where i hid the kits!"

Scourge looked at Ashpelt and transported behind him. "I'll find them. you can't stop me."

I HAVE to stop him

Scourge hit ashpelt into a wall.

(what wall? lol)

ack!

*ashpelt gets up, weak form the constant batterage*

Flameheart got up, blood covering his face. Flameheart's eyes widened as he took his last breath his vision blurring as scourge clawed his throat.

"NO!!!" Ashpelt yelled. his eyes started glowing bright yellow. "I WILL avenge his death!" he yelled as he turned on Scourge. he darted in and scratched, then darted back too fast for a retaliation. then repeated.
