Chapter 5: A battle against Darkness.

"Yea, Yea, Come on see let's see if we need to go on patrol." Flameheart meowed.

"Sure"

Flameheart and twilightrain walked into Firestar's den. "Firestar?" Flameheart meowed. "Yes Flameheart?" Firestar replied.

Twilightrain spoke for him. "Flameheart would like to know if we could go on patrol."

"Sure, go ask Leafpool to go with you, she needs to get some herbs." Firestar meowed.

Twilightrain smiled. "Is that okay with you, Flameheart?"

"Err..Yea..just fine!" Flameheart meowed.

"What's wrong?"Twilightrain asked him. "Did you want to talk to me or something?"

"Huh? No, not at all. Again just something personal.." Flameheart meowed.

"You WERE going to tell me!" She shrieked. "I'm sure you can tell me when she's gathering herbs." She pranced out of Fireheart's den and into Leafpool's. Soon, Leafpool, Flameheart, and Twilightrain were ready to go.

"Oi" Flameheart shrugged, as he followed Leafpool and Twilightrain.

They ventured into the woods until Leafpool had told them to stop. "So, Flameheart, can you tell me now?"

"Why do you care anyway??" Flameheart asked curious.

"Just because. I wanna know what you mean by, 'I gotta tell her, I gotta tell her' when you sleep." Twilightrain replied simply.

"...Err...I never said any of that...you err...must..umm..Must have been imagining..." flameheart said turning away.

"Then why are you stuttering?" She smiled. "Tell me, Tell me!!"

"Err...but...Umm...You...uuhh..." Flameheart was lost at what to say next.

"Aww. . . Flameheart, you can tell me anything!"

"...Fine.. I'll tell you. See I-" Flameheart stopped just as Leafpool came back. "YES!!"

"LEafpool? Could I talk to Flameheart alone for a second?"

"Sure, I'm going to head back to camp." Leafpool meowed. "Oh Great." Flameheart thought

"Come on, Flameheart! It can't be that bad. Just get it out of your system." Twilightrain smiled.

"And if I do our friendship is ruined." Flameheart said calmly. "Aww great! can't believe I just said that!"

"Our friendship? Ruined?!" Twilightrain started laughing. "That will never happen! Not over my dead body!"

"So you'd rather me tell you and make are friendship awkward?" Flameheart meowed.
